Mitsui Chemicals in April of 2013 acquired the dental division of Heraeus Kulzer. Not done with dental acquisitions Mitsui just acquired a controlling interest in DENTCA , CA based CAD/CAM denture technology company.

Henry Schein acquires a stake in Ekan Group. Ekan Group, based in Canada is a dental management software company that has a reach into 65 Canadian and US dental schools. Henry Schein has many on site stores at dental schools through out the US.
