Dr. Michelle Hedgecock grew up in the small farming town of Danbury, Texas. She was destined for a career in dentistry, which became apparent when she flourished as a dental assistant during high school. She attended Texas A&M University where she majored in biomedical science with a minor in business. In 2007, she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), graduating magna cum laude from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. During dental school, she received multiple awards for her achievements in esthetic dentistry.
Dr. Michelle began her career in a community health center providing dental care to the underserved population of Joplin, Missouri. In 2011 she moved to Austin, Texas where she cared for patients in her private practice through 2023. She received the award for a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry, an achievement only 6% of dentists accomplish. She is a graduate of the Kois Center, a post-graduate program located in Seattle, that focuses on comprehensive treatment and excellence in restorative dentistry. Dr. Michelle taught fellow dentists as a clinical instructor for 6 Month Smiles, a short-term cosmetic braces system for adults.
